We live in challenging times, with the corona pandemic affecting us all in different ways. At Glooko, our highest priority is to support the healthcare community to manage diabetes in a safe way. As people with diabetes are an at risk group, they will benefit from remote care in their homes during this time.
As you may already know, diasend® offers a way to safely connect with your patients remotely. They can upload data from their diabetes devices from home, share it with your clinic and review with you via phone or video.
How to connect with a patient that is already using diasend®
Patients who are already using diasend® can connect with your clinic by clicking the “Share data” button within their account and enter your Clinic ID. You will find your Clinic ID in the "Account Profile" page, within the "Patients links" view.
How to connect with a patient that has not yet started to use diasend®
The easiest way to make this happen is to invite your patients to create a personal diasend® account, as they will then automatically get your Clinic ID. To do so, log in to your diasend® account, press the “Invite patient” button, enter your patient’s name and email address – and they will receive an email with all the information they need to create their own personal account.
Some diabetes devices also have a mobile app that can be connected to diasend®. This is done by the patient through the function called “Connect Apps".
In addition, diasend® is also available as a mobile app of its own – via both Google Play Store and Apple App Store. Patients that download it have instant access to all of their diabetes data, and can also use it to upload data from numerous devices directly from their mobile phone.
